Who We Are

The Alliance for Advanced Sanitation brings University of Nebraska–Lincoln research faculty and facilities at The Food Processing Center at Nebraska Innovation Campus together with food industry partners. Our public university / private sector partnership develops improved sanitation practices that can be implemented by food processing and affiliated industries.

What We Do

We conceptualize, create and disseminate improved sanitation approaches and practices. Alliance activities focus on all manner of food safety concerns including microbial pathogens, allergens, and toxic chemicals; food quality and shelf life; cost and risk benefit assessments; water conservation and reusability; and genetically engineered foods.
